Sharp gradient
Sub-zero temperatures overnight

Minimum temperatures by Wednesday morning, 25th September.

A split in conditions across the UK and Ireland overnight led to a sharp temperature gradient, falling below zero in the north.

Extensive cloud strewn across large portions of England, Wales and southern Ireland led to milder conditions on Tuesday night, 24th September.

Temperatures held up in the double digits, with minimums around 13°C in London and 12°C in Plymouth, as well as 10°C in Cork.

Further north however it was a different story beneath clear skies.

Temperatures got down to 3°C in Dublin, but as low as 2°C in Glasgow and below zero across parts large parts of central Scotland, plummeting down to -3°C in Tyndrum, as circled above on the TemperatureRadar.
