Breakfast brief
Frosty start for some, but change later

Check out the minimum temperatures where you are on the TemperatureRadar.

A bitterly chilly start to Friday with temperatures around freezing in parts with a ground frost, but cloud and rain moving in from the west later.

Kickstarting your morning

Welcome to the breakfast brief, offering your daily weather forecast and a sneak peek at the day's news.

Weather outlook

A crisp and cold start with temperatures around zero for some areas. Bright away from western fringes though, with plenty of sunshine through the day.

However cloud and rain will increase from the west, moving in to Ireland and then western Scotland.

Rain and brisk winds continuing in the north and west overnight, while staying dry, clear and still rather chilly to the south and east. A warm front is then expected to arrive from the west later in the night.
