Twin low-pressure systems - Much of Europe in storm mode

Twin low-pressure systems
Much of Europe in storm mode

Two storm systems are causing havoc. A low-pressure system lies to the south of Iceland and is bringing gale-force winds of up to 50 miles per hour from the UK and Ireland to Europe's North Sea coast.

In Poland and the Baltic states, another low-pressure system is also bringing stormy and unpleasant autumn weather.

In Northern Europe, two storm systems are shaping the weather.

It’s set to get really windy in the south of France too: there, the region’s characteristic winds, the Mistral and the Cers, are sweeping forcefully across the region and out onto the Mediterranean.

You’ll feel the strong wind particularly along the coast. Over the weekend, the storm system will even extend as far as North Africa.
