Bringing mild air
Storm approaches the UK and Ireland

WindRadar shows hurricane-force winds on the Scottish coast during the night leading up to Friday.

A powerful low-pressure system with hurricane-force winds is approaching the UK and Ireland. It will bring severe storm gusts to northern Scotland in particular on Thursday night and Friday morning.

Hurricane-force winds of 75 miles per hour (120 km/h) and above are expected in the Hebrides and along the Scottish coast.

The low pressure system will then move on towards Scandinavia. From Friday afternoon onwards, conditions will become increasingly stormy, particularly along the coast of Norway. In addition to strong winds, the storm will also bring mild air.

Today, temperatures between Dublin, London, and Edinburgh are already between 13 and 16 degrees.
