A chilly start in places, with variable cloud across the board.

Kickstarting your morning

Weather outlook

A chilly start for some with temperatures down to 2°C in Cork, 1°C in Manchester and 0°C in Leicester, with a local frost expected. Some mist and fog around too.

A reversal of fortunes furthest north, with early morning temperatures around 12°C in Portree in Skye.

The best of the brightness to the south and east, although some light rain across south-east England during the morning.

More in the way of cloud lingering across northern and western areas through the day, with this becoming increasingly widespread through the night.
