Mixed conditions start the week, as patchy rain overnight continues to move away this morning before a heavier system pushes into Scotland tonight, bringing widespread downpours.

Gusting winds may reach speeds of 30 mph widely across the UK and Ireland, with gusts reaching up to 40 mph around Liverpool this morning.

Temperatures are beginning to fall, with highs reaching up to 18-19°C in Cork, Ireland, and 16-18°C widely across England.
