For Scotland & Ireland
Weather warnings for wind active

Thursday's weather warnings for wind.

Weather warnings for strong winds are active for parts of Scotland and Ireland over the coming days.

For Thursday and Friday, the Western Isles of Scotland see the strongest winds, while there is a slight shift south to cover the whole western Irish coastline on Friday.

Gusts will peak around 45 mph over Shetland and western Scotland Friday morning.

At these speeds, the winds officially become gales, but alone, should not present an imminent danger. Loose debris may be blown around, causing minor damages, but there are no risk of danger to life warnings.

The conditions persist into the weekend, but begin to ease from Saturday afternoon, with no risk of a named storm.

Check the WindRadar for conditions around your area.
