By the end of the week
Stormy winds finally easing

1/3
Gusts weaken on Wednesday but remain widespread.

After a period of stormy conditions with gale-force winds in places, our weather is starting to settle again.

With Storms Austen and Boelo behind us, plus an unnamed low-pressure system on Tuesday, the coming days see successively calmer gusts.

While still widespread on Wednesday, Thursday sees a change towards the evening across parts of eastern to southern UK. While by Friday, it's a calm day for all before the Halloween weekend.
