Weather trend
Changeable, but still warm at times

Cooler and more changeable weather is on the cards early next week as Atlantic weather systems take over for a time. But it may turn very warm again for some.

Low pressure near Ireland will become more dominant to start the week as it's weather fronts will sweep east, ushering in cooler, fresher air.

There will also be some rain or showers, these perhaps thundery in places as winds freshen across many parts of Ireland, Wales and England.

Tuesday may well be the coolest day of the week, with further spells of rain chiefly affecting western and southern parts of the UK, while Ireland and Scotland should see a mix of showers and sunny spells.

Winds will remain a feature particularly around southwestern and southern coasts, where they could become quite gusty at times.

Into the second half od next week and things will likely remain rather unsettled, with outbreaks of rain or showers at times, interspersed with some warm sunny spells.

Temperatures may however rebound again later next week and into next weekend as some models suggest a shift to a more southwesterly flow at times.

This may bring much warmer air from the continent back to at least the southern half of the UK.

Be sure to check later forecasts to keep track of any changes throughout next week as details become clearer.
