Breakfast brief
Risk of snow on gusty end to the week

Snow spreads, mainly over higher ground.

A risk of snow this morning and evening on a gusty end to the week.

Kickstarting your day

Welcome to the Breakfast Brief, your first forecast for the day and a chance to catch up on what you may have missed.

Weather outlook

The WeatherRadar turns pink today as snow makes a return, although it is mostly confined to higher altitudes with sleet more likely at lower altitude areas.

Firstly early this morning as snow and rain mixed in southern England, and more widely this evening across western England and Wales.

Aside from the snow risk, it is another gusty day too, with winds gaining strength in the afternoon. Reaching up to 40 mph around Plymouth, and widely in the 30s.
