Through the morning extensive cloud will thicken from the west, with outbreaks of rain driving in alongside blustery winds.

Rain looks to be heaviest in the north and west, particularly across Scotland and Northern England during the afternoon, with more widespread showery outbreaks of rain still expected elsewhere.
