Trick-or-treat?
Bone-dry & clouds brewing for Halloween

It's Halloween, but will the weather be tricking or treating us as we head out for witching hour?

It was an eerie start to Thursday 31st October as mist and fog crept in overnight, with a lot of cloud brewing for the rest of the day too.

While it will be bone-dry for many across the UK and Ireland with some brighter, less frightful spells, outbreaks of rain and howling winds will creep into western Scotland later.

A freakishly mild night ahead with above-average temperatures for the time of year, wrapped under a blanket of cloud.

However if you are looking to head outdoors, don't forget your capes and hats because where the cloud does break, it will turn a little chillier!
