Weather outlook

A cold and frosty start for many across the UK and Ireland, with temperatures sub-zero in places. However, a bright start and with plenty of sunshine developing.

The exception of Northern Scotland where outbreaks of rain will drive in from the west, turning heavier overnight. A few light spots can't be ruled out elsewhere in the north and west.
