Winds ease tonight
Gusty start to week before calm

Gusting winds spread across the UK and Ireland today.

It's a gusty start to the week for large parts of the UK and Ireland, but a calmer evening.

Winds are gusting up to 35–40 mph (56–64 km/h) in north-western England, into northern Wales this afternoon.

From around 04:00 pm, these gusts also grow along the western Irish coastline, before conditions calm by the evening for Tuesday.
