Wind warnings across the UK and Ireland

Wind warnings active for the UK and Ireland, on Wednesday.

Weather warnings are in place as winds grow stronger into the night, becoming gales for Scotland.

Conditions across parts of the UK and Ireland will become windier into Wednesday night, with some areas covered by weather warnings for strong winds. The peak of these gusts will be felt across Scotland, particularly western Scotland, Orkney and Shetland, with gales of around 60 to 65 mph Wednesday night.
