Will you see it?
The Flower Moon rises tonight

The Flower Moon rises tonight with spring in full bloom.

May's full moon, the Flower Moon, rises tonight but with persistent rainfall and cloud cover, will you get a chance to spot it?

The full moon will be visible from around 10:50 pm tonight, you can find the exact time for your area via the astro card in the app.

After days of thunderstorms and heavy rain, visibility will be limited. Clear skies are largely restricted to southern England in the UK. Throughout the night, much of Ireland should get a chance to see the moon as clouds part.

The Flower Moon in recent years has delivered a variety of astronomical phenomena. Last year, a penumbral eclipse occurred while in 2021 this full moon was both a supermoon and a blood moon, taking on a red hue.

Like all full moons, the name originates with Native Americans, who coined the Flower Moon moniker for its timing with the full spring bloom.

While our lunar companion won't look any different to a regular full moon this time, if you do spot it, we would love to see! Get involved by sending in your pictures to the uploader.
