Strong, gusting winds reaching up to 60 mph are expected today in exposed, coastal areas, and gusts of up to 50 mph at lower latitudes.

A large band of heavy rain marks the morning, pushing south-east over Wales and England, though it remains largely dry across Ireland until this evening.

Weather warnings for wind stretch across all countries, while rain warnings are live for western Scotland due to fresh rain arriving into the night.
