Weather trend
Remaining changeable and mild

Atlantic weather systems continue to dominate the picture with more rain, wind and predominantly mild air. Some drier spells may develop later on.

The weekend looks set to be very unsettled as further bands of rain or showers push through, interspersed with brief, bright or sunny interludes.

Some of the showers may be on the heavy side, while it will feel rather cold in the gusty westerly to southwesterly winds.

Looking ahead into early next week and low pressure continues to remain influential most of the time, though with milder air coming into play.

Highs could reach around 15°C in many areas at times in a southwesterly to southerly breeze, several degrees above average for early November.

The wet and windy conditions may last into late next week, bringing further spells of heavy rain to some western and northwestern parts in particular.

This could eventually increase the risk of some localised flooding issues there.

There is however some signal longer-term that high pressure may become a bit more influential next weekend and beyond, with drier spells becoming more common.
