Weather fronts drive in showery spells

Showery spells of rain, especially at first, with increasing amounts of sunshine developing later.

A good deal of showers around to start the day, especially across large parts of England and Ireland, in addition to western Scotland, with showers tracking eastwards through the day.

Sunny spells will develop in the wake of the showers, with temperatures rising into the high-teens or low-twenties.
