Warmest in west Ireland
Stubborn clouds split temperature highs

Warmest in western Ireland as clouds cool eastern areas.

There is a six-degree swing in temperature highs between east and west as cloud-cover hangs over eastern England.

A gloomy Thursday for those in the east, where cloud cover brings overcast and cooler conditions compared to recent days.

Meanwhile, the rest of the UK and Ireland can enjoy plenty of sunshine and warmer temperatures, still reaching the low 20s.

Though dissipating overnight, further cloud cover will remain over the east throughout the week.
