November temperature records broken

Minimum temperatures for the night of Thursday November 11th were widely into the mid-teens

Two records have been provisionally broken for both Scotland and Northern Ireland, beating their previous highest minimum temperatures for November.

Extraordinary and unseasonable warmth has been felt over the past few days, but on Thursday night in particular, November 10th into the 11th, temperatures remained widely into the mid-teens throughout.

Whilst three quarters of all Scottish weather stations recorded their warmest November night on record, national records for Scotland and Northern Ireland were also broken.
