Flood alerts in parts of England

Multiple flood alerts are live, mostly across southern England, as heavy rain sweeps over the country.

Some 72 alerts and warnings are currently live, with the highest risk seen in parts of Dorset, passing rain Wednesday morning pushes rivers and other waterways to bursting.

Earlier in the week, south-west England and southern Wales saw high rainfall amounts, with 103 mm falling at White Barrow, Devon in the 24 hours from Sunday to Monday and 105 mm in Rhondda Cynon Taf.
