Tornado touches down in Mississippi

On Wednesday, a tornado struck near Columbia, Mississippi, causing widespread disruption and triggering weather alerts across the region.

The National Weather Service placed much of South Mississippi under a Tornado Watch as severe storms swept through, bringing heavy rain, strong winds, and potential flash flooding.

Early reports indicate damage to trees and power lines, with some buildings affected, no injuries have been reported.

Fortunately, there also appears to be no known fatalities so far, but recovery efforts are continuing to assess the full extent of the damage.
