Tips for a weekend trip
See the Netherlands Tulip Route in April

Here's a tip for a perfect getaway - from around mid-April, millions of tulips will bloom in Holland; but it's not just there that you can find them!

Over 2000 hectares of bright red, yellow, white and purple tulips will bloom along Holland's longest tulip route from mid-April into early May.

The route is located in Noordoostpolder, north-east of Amsterdam in the province of Flevoland. An approximately 40-kilometre cycle route runs along the beautiful fields that explode in colour.

During the flowering season in spring, the Tulip Route is recognised by National Geographic as one of the most beautiful cycling routes in the world.

If Holland is just a little too far to visit however, you may be pleased to hear that there are some breath-taking tulip farms even on our doorstep.

Tulley's Farm in Crawley, West Sussex will debut an expanse of 500,000 tulips from 3rd April, showcasing over 100 varieties. Are you going to any tulip farms this year? Send your spring photos to Weather & Radar via the uploader.
