Flooding from heavy rain and thawing snow has caused widespread disruption to travel this Monday.

A number of A-roads remain closed in Nottinghamshire and County Durham due to flooding, while the M25 is closed anti-clockwise due to a stranded lorry.

Monday morning saw rail services also disrupted with bus replacements in parts of Wales, and speed restrictions on some lines.

It comes after weekend snow, which is now thawing, adding to heavy rain in some areas.

Airports, including Manchester where runways were closed to start the day, are now operating with delays to arrivals and departures.

More than 500 flood warnings are active across England and Wales, with patches of snow continuing to fall over northern England and Scotland this afternoon.
