Thanks to a low in Iberia
Southern England warmer than Spain

A warm spell at home, and storms in Spain, produce a flip in the hotspots.

Though the temperatures are starting to fall away, today's highs in southern England are still warmer than being felt in Spain.

A high of 26°C expected in London on Friday afternoon, surpasses that of Madrid where the thermometer tops out at 20°C.

The primary cause of this is a low-pressure system currently impacting the Iberian Peninsula, bringing rain and thunderstorms to Spain and Portugal.
