Today marks the start of autumn according to the calendar in the Northern Hemisphere. However, summer doesn’t seem quite ready to bid farewell just yet. In several regions, including Western Europe and parts of the USA, Canada and Russia, it is unusually warm for this time of year at the moment.

In some countries temperatures can still reach just over 20 degrees, even within the Arctic Circle. In mid-latitudes, it can even get hotter than 30 degrees.

Meanwhile, spring is beginning in the Southern Hemisphere. And it’s already in full swing: in Australia, South Africa and Argentina, temperatures are already reaching 30 to 35 degrees in some areas.
