Take care on the roads
Widespread fog grips Thursday morning

Weather map for Thursday morning showing widespread cloud and fog patches across central and southern England, with temperatures of 8–11°C.
The WeatherRadar shows widespread fog Thursday morning.

There could be some disruption to the morning commute on Thursday as conditions turn suitably spooky with widespread fog to start the day.

From the early morning, the fog, growing dense in places, will be slow to lift. Central to southern England will see the most impact, stretching to the east into East Anglia and west into Wales too.

Remember to check your fog lights, and to use them on the roads, if you're out early in the morning before the gloomy mist and fog dissipates.

Misty and foggy mornings are likely to be repeated in the coming days, even over the Halloween weekend.
