Weekend weather
Staying cloudy with patchy rain at times

A gloomy weekend in store as cloud remains trapped in the high pressure system.

Another dull, overcast day to come on Saturday with patches of light rain or drizzle around. Little change into the overnight period though clearer skies will develop from the east.

Under clear skies temperatures will fall away a little, down to 4°C in Norwich and Aberdeen and 3°C in Leicester, but staying in the double digits beneath cloudier skies.

Some mist and fog may also form where clear skies prevail, with Sunday seeing another fairly cloudy day ahead. Just a few breaks in the cloud to allow for some more localised sunny spells.

Becoming increasingly misty and foggy Sunday night and to start Monday, with little change to the weather pattern as high pressure remains overhead, producing "anticyclonic gloom".
