Erosion has carved dramatic arches and caves in the world's largest iceberg, named A23a.

The images above were captured by Richard Sidey, of EYOS Expeditions, cruising along the iceberg as it moves north of Antarctica.

While spectacular to look at, the reason for the erosion is due to the iceberg encountering warmer ocean waters as waves crash into it, alongside higher air temperatures.

The A23a iceberg is on the move for the first time in three decades and is twice the size of London.

Despite its enormity, the iceberg is expected to melt and disappear at some point, though there is still some element of hope it could survive for a little longer as it is due to encounter another iceberg in its path of migration.
