Rain turns to showers while moving south

A morning of heavy rain in parts of Scotland, Ireland, and northern England clears through the day as showers head south.

The band of heavy rainfall has been situated over northern areas of the UK, stretching into Ireland, this morning, but as evening arrives it is these areas that see dry, clearer skies.

For those in the south, expect increasingly showery conditions from this afternoon before a clearer Friday for most on the WeatherRadar.
