Rain and winds from Storm Conall remain

Storm Conall continues to bring heavy rain to south-east England this morning with strong winds also making an impact.

Weather outlook

Overnight rain from Storm Conall continues this morning for areas of central to eastern England, making for a tricky commute for some. Similarly, fog covers much of Ireland.

These do clear into the day, leaving a mix of overcast and clear skies. Though brisk winds in the south-east of England peak at around 35 mph in Norwich.

Wales will see the best of the day's sunshine on a cooler day than we have seen recently. Highs of around 9°C in the UK for Plymouth and around 7°C in Ireland for Cork before a fall to and below freezing overnight for many.
