Not only can you see if pollen is in the air, but specifically which forms. Right now we see many types of tree pollen at high levels, with the peak of grass and weed pollen season still to come later in the year.

There are three defined periods of the pollen season. This is started by tree pollen, as we see now with elevated levels of hazel and alder pollens. Historically this begins in March, though levels were already high in February.

Following this we see levels of grass pollen rise from around May into July before weed pollens become dominant through until September.
