Longer lasting in the UK
Stormy winds clearing Ireland

Stormy conditions Wednesday morning are starting to clear Ireland, but persist in the UK into the evening.

Gusts reach 40 - 50 mph across the UK while across much of Ireland it is now much calmer. Wider areas of the UK see these calm conditions by the evening, but not all.

In the south-west, a separate system arrives with heavy rain and stronger winds, possibly reach gale force with peaks around 55 mph around Plymouth.
