Weather outlook

Further showery outbreaks of rain will continue to push up from the south and south-west throughout the course of the day.

Sunny periods developing between, and feeling pleasant in the sunshine with temperatures reaching 18°C in London and 19°C in Southend-on-Sea.

A renewed risk of heavy showers or thunderstorms along the south coast of England heading into the late afternoon and evening, with the risk also continuing overnight while showery rain persists elsewhere.
