Weather warnings for rain in effect for Sunday.

Weather warnings are in effect today, with heavy rain and strong winds both impacting Ireland and parts of the UK.

Heavy rain sits over much of Ireland Sunday afternoon, with downpours continuing to spread into Scotland by the evening before continuing throughout Monday.

Simultaneously, gusting winds are growing stronger, with up to 50 mph (80 kph) expected in Belmullet, and exposed parts of western Ireland, and the Western Isles of Scotland.
