Rain and winds grow through Monday

Heavy rain spreads across the UK as gusting winds grow stronger into Monday afternoon.

Persistent downpours continue in Scotland, while the band of rain moves over Wales and England throughout the day.

Those in the south-east of England escape much of the conditions, as gusting winds also grow stronger, particularly around the Irish Sea with gusts reaching 40 mph in Dublin, and up to 50 mph on the Isle of Man.

Gusting winds will remain in place for much of the week.
