Send us your snowy, frosty pictures

Snowy path
The first snowfall of the season was captured in Gorebridge, Scotland on Thursday morning, how is the view near you? - © Weather & Radar Uploader

We love each and every image we receive from our users of weather and the landscapes near you, especially in winter with snow on the cards! Here's how you can get involved.

Snow and frost are expected to be widespread this weekend, offering lots of wintry views and a need for extra caution if out driving or walking on icy roads and paths. If you venture out, and snap a great shot, show it off with us and all your fellow users.

On every news item on our ticker, you can see a small image icon in the top-right with a small yellow circle containing an upwards arrow. Tap this to open our uploader in your browser.

Once you are taken to our dedicated uploader, you can send us your image or videos.

Simply tap "Add files", select the pics or clips you wish to send and fill out the short form providing your name, location, email address, and any comments regarding your image. This may be more information on what is happening or where you are.

You will also be asked if you would like to be credited should we use your upload on our app or social media platforms. Be sure to tick this if you do.

We may use your uploads in dedicated news items explaining weather phenomena, our regular feature 'Your weather - Your shots', videos, or on our social media platforms. Our international teams may also use your material with credit provided.

So, if the snow has made its mark near you, or the view is a crisp, frosty vision, get the camera out and snap away before submitting via the uploader for the UK, or Ireland.

If the winter weather has not quite reached you, be sure to keep an eye on the WeatherRadar to track the current conditions.
