Europe caught between winter and summer

Frost and warmth
Europe caught between winter and summer

In some parts of Europe, winter is already making its presence felt. From Scandinavia and Germany to south-eastern Europe, overnight frosts are widespread.

Snow is falling in Norway and Sweden, as well as in Ukraine and northern Turkey. Occasional snowfall is also affecting the Alps.

In early November, Cyprus still has a summery feel to it.

In southern Europe, however, the situation is quite different. From southern Spain through the Balearic Islands to southern Italy, autumn remains pleasantly mild, with temperatures above 20°C. In the Canary Islands, temperatures above 25°C make it feel more like summer.

In the eastern Mediterranean, too, particularly along the Turkish coast and in Cyprus, the mild conditions are ideal for spending time outdoors.
