Gales spread across the UK and Ireland

Warnings are in place as strong gusting winds once against spread across the UK and Ireland.

Around midday Friday, these are strongest along the Irish Sea with peak gusts approaching 65 mph in the north-west of Wales around Bangor, and up to 90 km/h (56 mph) in eastern Ireland around Wicklow.
