Did you wake up to snow?
Wintry scenes across the UK

Did you wake up to the sight of snow this morning? Here are a handful of places that did.

With snow showers blowing frequently into northern Scotland throughout Monday daytime and overnight on the 6th, it's no surprise Aberdeenshire was one of the hardest hit places by this morning.

Several people have had to turn around on the A90 as snow blanketed roads, with many others closed, along with flights cancelled. In Northern England, the snow showers even fell down to sea level in places such as Scarborough and Whitby.

Others however, across parts of central England have been able to marvel at the snow from the comfort of their homes. This snow was a result of a low pressure system which moved in from the west overnight, rather than northerly snow showers.

More snow is expected through Tuesday night across southern England, with another spell returning to the same region later in the day on Wednesday. We'll keep you updated as best as we can so stay tuned for more detail.

In the meanwhile, we'd love to see your snowy shots, so send them in via our uploader for us to feature!
