Despite cloudy skies: Moderate UV levels expected today

Despite cloudy skies
Moderate UV levels expected today

Despite cloud cover rolling overhead, UV levels are reaching moderate heights as we move deeper in spring.

The strongest UV Index will be felt in East Anglia, reaching level 4 in Norwich by midday Wednesday.

It may be a surprise to see the strength of the sunlight growing, with conditions across the UK and Ireland generally cloudy after a foggy start.

Studies show around 80% of UV light can cut through cloud cover, meaning that we can still see moderate to high levels on an overcast day.

Keep track of UV near you with the UV Index feature on the Weather & Radar app, find it on the home page.
