Cold fronts brings showers to west

A showery day in the west, with the best of the warm sunshine to the east.

Showery rain will persist across western portions of the UK and also Ireland throughout much of the day.

A few showers drifting further east at times, but otherwise a fine day to come with temperatures reaching 25°C or 26°C in the south-east across the likes of London, Norwich and Maidstone.

The bulk of the showers then easing through the evening and overnight to leave largely clear skies, though a few may linger.
