Weather outlook

Showery rain will persist across western portions of the UK and also Ireland throughout much of the day.

A few showers drifting further east at times, but otherwise a fine day to come with temperatures reaching 25°C or 26°C in the south-east across the likes of London, Norwich and Maidstone.

The bulk of the showers then easing through the evening and overnight to leave largely clear skies, though a few may linger.
