British Science Week 2023
A chance to celebrate meteorology!

Juxtaposed weather conditions

British Science Week kicks off today and gives us a chance to talk about our favourite science of them all, meteorology!

The week actually runs for 10 days, starting today the event is a time to celebrate all things positive in British science. We for one, think meteorology is one of the most fascinating of all.

A BBC survey discovered that 96% of Brits asked had talked about the weather in the past six hours, so we’ll equip you with a better understanding of the weather systems we experience and why we see them.

So, over the 10 days you can expect to learn all about British weather and the meticulous calculations that go into bringing you a forecast each and every day.

Plus, there will be fun experiments for you to try at home yourself including creating your own weather instruments.

Remember, you can see our science in action at any time with our WeatherRadar.
