NASA captured the aurora from space and the pictures are just mind-blowing.

While we were bathed in the beauty of the northern lights from below recently, NASA astronaut Josh Cassada shared his spectacular view from above on February 28th.

His view was from the International Space Station, which travels around 400 km above Earth. The ethereal green aurora appears to stretch across the Earth, with the cities' lights shining through too.
