Breakfast brief: Winds calm yet rain persists

Gusting winds felt this week finally ease later with temperatures around average for early June but continued rainfall.

Though remaining blustery in Scotland, Wales, and much of England to start, the gusting winds finally calm by the evening, though there is still plenty of rain around. This is heavy at first, before turning to showers.
