After morning rain in Scotland, it is mainly showers for the UK as rainfall spreads mostly over Ireland on a calmer day with a split in temperatures.

Highs in south-east to eastern England remain in the mid- to upper-teens throughout today, while it's back to single digits in Scotland, where higher ground may see snow.
