Breakfast brief
Rain sinks in from the north-west

The WeatherRadar shows the progression of the rain through the day.

An unsettled picture in the north-west at first, with rain and blustery winds developing elsewhere through the day.

Kickstarting your morning

Welcome to the breakfast brief, your first look at the day's forecast and a sneak peek of today's articles.

Weather outlook

A cooler start than recently in the south-east under clear skies, with a low pressure system driving in a band of heavy and persistent rain from the north-west, sinking slowly south-eastwards through the day.

In its track the rain will become increasingly showery in nature and fragmented, reaching the south-east corner overnight. Blustery winds will also accompany the rain.
