Breakfast brief
Overcast again with showers moving in

Weather radar showing overcast skies and showers over the UK, just overcast over Ireland.
Continued overcast conditions as showers arrive.

Showers passing over parts of the UK to break the monotonous cloudy skies, staying cool in Scotland.

Kickstarting your morning

Welcome to the Breakfast Brief, offering your first forecast of the day!

Weather outlook

Remaining dull with plenty of cloud cover over the UK and Ireland today, but with the arrival of showers over parts of England and Wales through the day. Over the Highlands, this could fall as sleet on another freezing day up north.

Temperatures remain close to or below freezing across large parts of Scotland, Glasgow sees another day beginning at around -4°C and not reaching higher than 0°C.

Much milder elsewhere, with a high of around 10°C in Cambridge, and around 8°C in southern Ireland.
