Breakfast brief: More cloud cover, remaining widely warm

More cloud cover helps to quell the heat a little, but it remains warm and mostly dry across the UK and Ireland to end the week.

Some small showers pass in places, but otherwise the heat remains high, peaking in the upper 20s before turning hotter again for the weekend.
